John Quincy Adams
John Quincy Adams was the sixth president of the United States and a politician known for his outstanding diplomatic skills. Exposed to diplomacy from childhood, he contributed to elevating America’s international standing as minister to Great Britain and as Secretary of State. He was deeply involved in laying the groundwork for the Monroe Doctrine and promoted territorial expansion and commercial policy. Even after leaving the presidency, he served as a member of the House of Representatives, maintaining a powerful influence through his staunch anti-slavery stance.
